St.
George Utah
Red Rock Motorcycle Tours
FAQ
When should I arrive?
St. George has the quaintest
little airport located on a plateau. If you land
in Los Angeles United airlines has a shuttle to
bring you here. If you come from Salt Lake City
there is a similar shuttle by Skywest airlines.
Both flights are about one hour. If you arrive in
Las Vegas there is a bus shuttle to St. George we
can help you with.
Can I ship my own
motorcycle?
By all means, there is an
excellent Fly and Ride program by Harley Davidson
we would be happy to assist you with.
What kind of
weather can I expect?
No one can guarantee weather
but our selective dates will put us in temperatures
from 80’s to just over 100 in the summer.
Rain can happen but very infrequently and rain gear
will be provided in that unlikely event. Count on
T-shirts or Tank Tops.
How many riders
can I expect on a ride?
We like to keep it cozy
to about 8 bikes plus myself and the chase vehicle.
This way we have a nice tight group but still enough
if some people choose to break away from the pack
How do we ride?
We will ride with one rider
to the left of the lane, the next to the right of
the lane and so on. A good distance to maintain
behind the bike in front of you is 2 seconds in
towns or traffic. Out on the open road you can hang
back or keep up, suit yourself. We do try to ride
the speed limit where possible, which on most of
our roads are 75mph.
Do I have to
ride with the pack?
No! This is your trip and
not all our likes are the same. We will make every
effort to make it fun but if you prefer to venture
on your own, we provide maps each morning and can
meet up later at a selected point.
How far will
we ride each day?
Our daily distances are
noted on the Ride description sheets but remember
these are estimated miles and can vary. We try not
to exceed 250 miles per day which will go by so
quick you won’t realize it. Don’t forget
you will be out of the saddle often to take pictures
or look at scenery or make a gas and potty stop.
What if my motorcycle
breaks down?
We will try to get you going
again but we do have full 24 hour Roadside Service
and our rentals are all this years models, so extremely
little chance for that to happen.
What should
I wear?
We recommend you wear layered
clothing, that is clothes you can peel of as required.
In the morning it will be a little cooler than in
the afternoon, so you might end up taking off a
jacket and a shirt and get down to a T-Shirt. No
problem, throw them in the chase vehicle.
